Maharashtra Governor honours families of Martyrs and War Heroes

‘Shahid –E – Azam Motivational Awards’ presented to Udit Narayan, Jaspinder Narula, Kainaat Arora, Ashmit Patel and others

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari felicitated family members of martyrs of Kargil War and War Injured Jawans at a programme held at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Tuesday (21 Dec).

The Governor also presented the ‘Shahid – E – Azam’ Motivational award to 40 well known personalities on the occasion.

Family members of martyrs Durlabh Singh, Martyr Yash Digambar Deshmukh, Martyr Vijay Bapu Sonawane, Param Veer Abdul Hamid were given cheques by the Governor, while Commando Sunil Jodha, Commando Manesh PV and Nayak Dipchand were felicitated by the Governor.

Playback singer Udit Narayan, Dr Jaspinder Narula, actress Kainaat Arora, actor Ashmit Patel and others were presented the Shahid E Azam awards by the Governor.

The programme was organised by Rais Khan, Chairman of Jannat Films. UK based social worker Dr Parin Somani was also present.
