Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari inaugurated a Webinar on food security organised by the Environment Quality Cell of the Jamia Hamdard Deemed to be University on the occasion of World Food Day.

Stating that India has become self reliant in terms of food production, the Governor called for collective efforts to ensure nutritional security of the people.

Chairman of the Jamia Hamdard University Hameed Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Prof M. Afshar Alam, Conference Chairman Prof. Dr M.Z. Abdin, former Director of the National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources Professor KC Bansal and Conference Convenor Dr Zeenat Iqbal were present.
