    Maharashtra Raj Bhavan to celebrate ‘Telangana State Formation Day’ on Friday

    Maharashtra Raj Bhavan will be celebrating the ‘Telangana State Formation Day’ at Raj Bhavan Mumbai at 5.30 pm on Friday (2 June).

    Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais will preside over the cultural programme.

    This is for the first time that Maharashtra Raj Bhavan will be hosting the ‘Telangana State Formation Day’ function. The Telangana State was formed on 2 June 2014.

    The Telangana State Formation Day is being celebrated in all Raj Bhavans in the country as part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative. The objective of the programme is to promote harmony and understanding among people about the cultural traditions and languages of other States.

    The programme at Maharashtra Raj Bhavan is being organised in association with ‘Government of Telangana’ and the Federation of Telugu Associations of Maharashtra (F – TAM).
